Shield AI in Seattle seeks a hands-on manufacturing leader to take X-BAT from prototype builds through production launch and into rate production at X-Forge 3. You’ll build the production team, establish the factory’s operating system and deliver readiness to scale aircraft production safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or a related technical field.
• 10+ years in aerospace or advanced manufacturing with 5+ years leading production teams.
• Experience leading prototype or new product introduction builds into sustained production.
• Ability to build and scale manufacturing operations with workforce development and capacity planning.
• Experience with complex assembly, traceability and quality requirements.
• Knowledge of tooling validation, materials coordination and production launch.
• Proven track record improving safety, quality, delivery and cost via Lean and problem‑solving.

Responsabilités

• Lead prototype builds and NPI, managing assembly, integration, rework and testing support.
• Establish build schedules, resource plans and milestones with transparent trade‑offs.
• Guide build-test‑learn cycles and capture issues for future designs and processes.
• Plan pre‑series builds to prove tooling, work instructions and workforce readiness.
• Lead Seattle production setup, factory layout, equipment installation and flow.
• Drive launch readiness, staffing, training and capacity aligned to demand.
