PPG's Aerospace Business is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Controls Engineer to join the Southern California team. Based in Valencia or Mojave, CA, this onsite role will develop and implement innovative controls across multiple chemical manufacturing processes within the Aerospace Materials unit.

Reporting to the Global Project Director, Aerospace Materials. Key responsibilities include front-end engineering support, RFQ/SOW development, vendor management, and leadership of field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software, Manufacturing, Engineering, or equivalent work experience and certifications is required.
• 5+ years of experience with demonstrated hands on experience as an Engineer performing programming of PLCs.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Responsabilités

• Participate in Front End Engineering, Design and Installation, including documentation for multiple projects.
• Develop RFQs, SOW and manage vendors and contractors; plan and execute projects and coordinate installations.
• Lead field teams to ensure on-time completion within budget and promote teamwork.
• Document processes including SOPs, operations manuals, and training materials.
• Assist with capital budgeting, ROA/ROE/ROI analysis and bid processes.
• Implement MES/SCADA across the SBU and standardize systems across facilities.
