Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and emergent maintenance on critical flight hardware logistics equipment. The role emphasizes systematic problem-solving in a high-volume manufacturing environment to keep equipment in optimal condition.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot a range of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems, adhere to regulatory inspections, and document work through tickets and work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of professional experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing electrical, mechanical, fluid, and/or control systems.
• Experience leading a team or managing a maintenance program, shop, etc.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair air ride suspension, brakes, lighting, wiring, gas-powered pony motors and generators, and hydraulic systems on shipping fixtures.
• Engage in preventive maintenance of mechanical, control, hydraulic, fluid, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, control, hydraulic, fluid, and electrical systems down to the component level.
• Adhere to CHP BIT and DOT regulations.
• Perform CHP and DOT inspections on a 90-day cycle and annually.
• Document all work by creating and updating maintenance tickets and work orders.
