Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in Cudahy, CA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic on 2nd shift (1:30pm–10:00pm). The role reports to the Operations Manager and offers hourly pay of $33–$38 plus a $2.50 shift differential, with overtime opportunities.

You will troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to fabrication projects using lathes, mills, and welding equipment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of previous experience in a Technical Maintenance role in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• HS diploma or GED required, but candidates with relevant experience will be considered.
• Previous experience working with PLCs and VFDs strongly preferred.
• Mig and Stick welding experience.
• Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of electrical testing equipment, skilled in use of standard mechanical hand tools.
• Strong communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & repair electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic equipment.
• Ensure safety-related work orders are prioritized to protect CPP staff.
• Perform scheduled preventative/predictive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Work on fabrication projects using a lathe/mill and welding equipment.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
