Job summary

StandardAero is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team on the 1st shift in the United States. You will set up, calibrate, and operate machining equipment to produce precise parts, use calipers and micrometers for quality checks, and cross-train in related skills as needed to support production.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, laying out work, and maintaining safety. The role requires reading specifications, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with potential for ongoing learning

Qualifications

• 3+ years of lathe/mill manual machinist experience.
• Experience resolving machining problems with materials and fixtures/tools.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret specifications to determine machining operations.
• Compute dimensions, tolerances, and lay out work pieces.
• Verify dimensions with calipers, gauges, and micrometers; troubleshoot as needed.
• Operate and set up shop tools; may perform polishing, grinding, milling, EDM.
• Support production; cross-train and endorse additional skills.
• Maintain safety and observe requirements.
