Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a seasoned machine shop leader in Washington to guide day-to-day operations and a skilled team in producing high-value, tight-tolerance aerospace components. You will drive continuous improvement, scheduling, and aerospace manufacturing processes to ensure on-time delivery and first article success.

You will perform interviews, mentor staff, and uphold safety and quality standards in a fast-paced production environment, contributing to the spaceflight roadmap and reusable

Qualifications

• 4 years minimum of leadership experience.
• 7 years minimum experience in machining aerospace components.
• Root cause and corrective action analysis experience.
• Familiarity with KPI metrics.
• Excellent blue print reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.

Responsibilities

• Own machine shop personnel and day-to-day operations.
• Conduct performance reviews.
• Establish work station assignments and training.
• Maintain machine shop schedule status for timely delivery.
• Provide first level HR escalation support to employees.
