Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years machining experience (manual and CNC).
• 2+ years manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Hurco and/or Fanuc controls.
• Aerospace manufacturing and/or FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience.
• Experience with AS9100 Quality Management System.
• Familiarity with Mastercam.
• Knowledge of GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of machinists, programmers, and support personnel.
• Coordinate manpower and machine resources to meet production schedules.
• Monitor workflow and production priorities to support on-time delivery objectives.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, engineering drawings, work instructions, and process specifications.
• Provide technical support and guidance for manual machining, CNC machining, setup, tooling, and work holding activities.
• Support setup, troubleshooting, and resolution of machining-related issues.
• Promote and enforce safe work practices throughout the machine shop.
• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, training, and development.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of machine shop personnel.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, and Manufacturing departments to resolve production issues.
• Monitor machine utilization, productivity, and shop performance metrics.
• Ensure proper maintenance and care of shop equipment and tooling.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Effectively and clearly communicate in English.
