Hermeus is seeking a Loads and Dynamics Engineering Intern to support our supersonic aircraft programs. You will collaborate with the aerodynamics and structures teams to develop external loads, run dynamic simulations, and validate analysis through testing and flight.

Summer internship runs about 12 weeks (May–August). Responsibilities include solving static and dynamic problems, building finite element models, and evaluating flutter and aeroelastic effects to support aircraft development.

Formación

• Pursuing STEM degree; undergraduate 3rd/4th year or graduate
• Strong grasp of engineering first principles
• Experience in cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• GPA 3.0 or above
• Interest in aviation and Hermeus's mission

Responsabilidades

• Solve static and dynamic problems via hand calculations, FEA, or test data
• External loads from flight maneuvers, gusts, takeoff and landing for design/analysis
• Build vehicle finite element model to assess load cases
• Characterize aeroelastic effects such as flutter
• Define random vibration environments from buffet and engine dynamics
