Job summary

RTCA in Sumner, WA is seeking a Lean Manufacturing Manager to own the lean deployment roadmap and drive continuous improvement across the site. The role emphasizes leadership coaching, value‑stream mapping, and implementation of standard work and daily accountability to improve flow and quality at the source.

The position requires a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification, with experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Requires Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated precision manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Experience with AS9100 or similar quality management systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own the lean deployment roadmap for the Sumner site.
• Coach leaders, supervisors, engineers, and value‑stream teams in lean thinking and application.
• Lead value‑stream mapping and convert future‑state designs into prioritized plans.
• Establish Kaizen system including event selection, facilitation, and benefit validation.
• Develop and sustain 5S, visual management, standard work, and daily accountability.
