Job summary

Astro Digital designs, builds, and operates a diverse range of small satellite systems. The launch integration engineer will be onsite at our Littleton, CO facility, coordinating deliverables, providing hands-on launch support, and assisting with spacecraft integration and GSE procurement. Travel 6–8 times per year is expected.

Export-control requirements apply; U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or 3+ years in a similar role.
• Understanding of aerospace systems fundamentals for payload requirements.
• Experience CAD design to support GSE procurement.
• Experience handling and integrating flight hardware.
• Ability to read assembly drawings and understand fastener torques.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, review, and submit launch vehicle deliverables under senior guidance.
• In-person hands-on support of launch integration at Littleton site.
• Support spacecraft integration with Assembly, Integration, and Test dept.
• Design and procure GSE to support launch integration via CAD.
• Occasional in-person vibration test support and tool shipments.
• Coordinate with launch support providers for integration activities.
• Create handling and testing procedures for vibration and launch integration.
