Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking a Laser Operator for the Exotic Metals Forming Division. The role involves setting up and operating fiber and YAG laser systems to manufacture aerospace components from Nickel, Stainless, and Titanium alloys.

The ideal candidate will perform setups, run parts on at least two machine types, and may train others. A high school diploma or GED is required, with basic GD&T knowledge and good manual dexterity essential.

Qualifications

• Math skills relevant to laser operator functions.
• Familiarity with machine tools and precision instruments.
• Ability to read manufacturing planning, sketches, and specifications.
• Basic knowledge of GD&T and where to find it.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Fiber and/or YAG CNC lasers on production hardware.
• May train others on part set-up and run.
• Troubleshoot minor program errors with guidance.
• Work with limited oversight to run parts on two machine types.
