Job summary

Ducommun Incorporated in Coxsackie, NY is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk for the 2nd shift to maintain accurate stock data and ensure proper storage of materials per internal and external requirements. The role involves recording transactions in the ERP system, conducting audits, cycle counts, and coordinating with related departments to meet production schedules.

You will handle material receipts, lot tracking, labeling, and shipping documentation while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some experience with aerospace materials, storage, control, traceability, procedures, or specifications preferred.
• Proficient use in Microsoft Office applications.
• Previous use with ERP systems a plus.
• Communicates courteously and professionally at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.
• Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, count, fractions & decimals.
• Must be able to open and close wooden crates using crowbars and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual verification of material items, monitors inventory levels, and reports shortages.
• Utilizes ERP system to perform daily transactions for issue, receipt, inquiry, and reporting.
• Maintains documentation of all activities related to material issues (cards, labels, tags).
• Interfaces with customers, auditors and company representatives during inventories, audits, and reconciliation.
• Receives raw materials and components, assigns lot numbers, and ensures traceability.
• Packs, protects, stores and secures materials for storage or transport.
• Performs daily audits and cycle counts.
• Maintains inventory records and storage locations.
