Job summary

ApTask is seeking a skilled Technician in Integration Engineering for Merritt Island, FL, to help ensure safe and efficient human spaceflight. You will set up production work areas, operate precision tools, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in a high-rate manufacturing environment.

The role requires interpreting engineering drawings, using precision calibration tools, and supporting from development to production with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in aerospace manufacturing or related field.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience with precision calibration tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or legally admitted refugee status.

Responsibilities

• Configure new production work areas with tooling and equipment.
• Operate handling equipment and precision calibrated tools to maintain safety and quality.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency.
• Drive transition from development to production and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas following 5S principles.
• Prepare and test payload systems and hardware per procedures.
