Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks an Industrial Engineering co-op/internship to support manufacturing processes, layouts, and workflows while contributing to cost and productivity studies. You will collaborate with manufacturing engineers, production personnel, management, and support organizations onsite in Cedar Rapids.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a BS-level STEM degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace, or a similar engineering program through the duration of the co-op session.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing processes, including equipment, floor layouts, work sequences, work instructions, procedures, and workflows.
• Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory management, and production record systems.
• Review products and processes for quality, safety, and producibility risks, collaborating with design teams to incorporate changes that eliminate risks.
• Manage moderately sized projects or processes.
• Independently resolve problems that are complex and challenging.
• Develop tactical plans to address day-to-day challenges effectively.
• Travel occasionally to local Iowa regional sites as required.
