Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Critical Lift & Transport Technician (Crane Operations) for the day shift at Cape Canaveral. You will move flight hardware, maintain cranes and GSE, and coordinate routes with engineers and technicians to ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

Strong attention to detail, safety and teamwork are essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma, 1+ year in heavy lift operations, NCCCO/NCCER certifications, and a valid CDL-A with Hazmat.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of professional experience in critical lift or heavy haul operations.
• Associate degree in aerospace technology or equivalent area of study.
• Familiarity with load measurement and calibration devices.
• Must possess NCCCO/NCCER crane, rigging, ironworking and heavy equipment certifications.
• Commercial driver’s license A with Hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Move Falcon 9 stages, payloads, Dragon capsule and GSE between Cape Canaveral and KSC.
• Perform preventative maintenance on cranes, SPMTs and mobile equipment.
• develop and follow work instructions for packaging flight hardware.
• Perform route surveys and coordinate with management for safe movements.
• Troubleshoot fluid and hydraulic systems on transport equipment.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes and hydraulic self-propelled transporters.
