Job summary

Spacex is seeking a Night Shift Critical Lift & Transport Technician to oversee transport operations, including Falcon 9 stages, Dragon capsules, and related ground support equipment across Cape Canaveral and KSC. You will perform preventative maintenance, coordinate with engineers, and ensure safe, on-time movements of heavy flight hardware.

The role requires 1+ years in heavy haul and critical lift, NCCCO/NCCER certifications, and a CDL-A with Hazmat.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of professional experience in critical lift or heavy haul operations.
• Certifications: NCCCO/NCCER for crane, rigging and heavy equipment.
• CDL-A with Hazmat endorsement.
• Associate degree in aerospace technology or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain transport equipment across Cape Canaveral and KSC.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mobile cranes, SPMTs and related gear.
• Coordinate with technicians and engineers to ensure safe moves.
• Assess routes, provide on-site solutions, and manage escorts and drivers.
• Develop and document work instructions for efficient packaging of flight hardware.
• Support tear-down and assembly configurations for cranes and SPMTs.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies.
