Job summary

Quantum Space is seeking a hands-on Buyer to own the purchasing system and drive shipping, receiving, and incoming hardware inspection for spacecraft development and manufacturing. You will be the primary procurement owner for engineering and operations, ensuring critical flight hardware, materials, and services are sourced competitively, purchased accurately, delivered on time, and received with rigor.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or sourcing operations.
• Experience owning a purchasing or ERP system and managing purchase orders end to end.
• Experience working directly with suppliers to obtain quotations, manage deliveries, and resolve procurement issues.
• Ability to work closely with engineers to translate technical requirements into purchases.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, hardware-driven environment.
• Clear and professional communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end purchasing process supporting spacecraft development and manufacturing.
• Manage supplier relationships, purchase orders, lead times, and procurement activities.
• Ensure engineers have the right parts, materials, and services on time.
• Act as the primary interface between Quantum Space and its vendors.
• Manage shipping and receiving process for hardware and purchased items.
• Verify incoming hardware and materials meet purchasing and quality requirements.
• Improve purchasing processes and supplier performance as the company scales.
