Job summary

Singularity Defense Corp. is seeking a skilled mechanical design engineer to design, prototype, analyze, test, and develop manufacturing processes for ground systems integral to the launch of our rocket/missile systems.

You will own system architecture and subassemblies from conception to integrated testing and manufacture. The role emphasizes high-production parts for aerospace systems, requiring SOLIDWORKS proficiency, GD&T expertise, and a strong focus on manufacturability and testing across

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related technical discipline.
4+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis.
3+ years developing manufacturing processes.
Proficient in 3D CAD (SOLIDWORKS preferred).
Familiarity with GD&T, structural analysis, and failure modes.
Ownership of a complex component from design through high-volume production.
Design for manufacturability and knowledge of production equipment.

Responsibilities

Design structures and ground systems integral to launch and control of flight vehicles.
Own the design through manufacturing, including basic structural analysis and validation.
Co-develop product requirements via trade studies to optimize at system level.
Create intricate models and detailed drawings in SOLIDWORKS.
Conduct rigorous testing and iterations to ensure reliability across environments.
Develop manufacturing processes for high-rate, high-yield production.
Coordinate with partner teams to optimize in-house manufacturing line.
