Job summary
Actalent is seeking a Simulation Engineer in Maple Grove, MN to support GN&C modeling, integration, and validation of aerospace and defense systems. You will work primarily in MATLAB/Simulink, translating system requirements into detailed simulations and testing within existing architectures and software frameworks.

Qualifications
- This role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related STEM field.
- At least 2 years of hands-on MATLAB and Simulink experience, with 3+ years preferred.
- Experience with simulation environments and model-based design tools.
- Experience implementing and testing control systems within simulation environments.
- Ability to translate system requirements into simulation and software implementations.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute system models using MATLAB and Simulink.
- Implement GN&C functionality within existing architectures and software frameworks.
- Translate system-level requirements into detailed simulation implementations.
- Support model-based design, integration, verification, and validation.
- Collaborate with systems, software, and test engineers to troubleshoot issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and test procedures.
- Participate in design reviews and communicate status and risks to stakeholders.
- Support software integration using Visual Studio and Visual C++.
- Perform analysis, simulation, and testing to verify performance against requirements.
