Belcan is seeking a Generative AI Software Developer/Engineer in Cedar Rapids, IA, for a 12-month on-site engagement. Start date is immediate, with a pay rate of $74.8/hr. The role focuses on building AI-enabled avionics software within the ART Aerospace Technologies team, delivering fast cycles and reduced tech debt.

You will design experiments, collaborate across sub-projects, and provide technical guidance while driving innovative solutions in safety-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Strong software development experience and skills.
• Proficient in Unix/Linux.
• Proficient in Python.
• Proficient in Full Stack Development.
• Proven execution skills in the development of complex systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly to large audiences.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of AI/ML through research or practice.
• Experience in deploying Generative AI powered applications.
• Experience with Large Language Model (LLM) development frameworks (e.g. LangChain, Haystack).
