Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to operate robotic weld systems and support aerospace production in Florida. You will interpret engineering drawings, setup production areas, perform inspections, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in manufacturing, integration, or another relevant field.
• Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills (Windows, Microsoft Office).
• Able to work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift >50 lbs.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced team.
• Ability to work any shift, extended overtime hours, and weekends as needed.
• Self-sufficient, self-starter and driven.
• Metallurgical knowledge.
• Ability to fabricate and use hand tools on an expert level.
• Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate robotic weld systems.
• Manual blend operations.
• Precision drilling per drawings and specs for internal tank installations.
• Setup new production work areas including layouts, tooling, and equipment.
• Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models and specs.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct discrepancies by modification, rework, or repair.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.
• Operate material handling equipment as required.
• Setup and operate precision tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and optical instruments.
• Perform routine maintenance supporting 5S, FOD, and Safety.
• Other duties as assigned or beneficial to the mission.
