Job summary

RTX is seeking a motivated Computer or Electrical Engineering student to join the Applied Research and Technology team in Cedar Rapids. You will contribute to the development of defense-focused ASIC/FPGA solutions through RTL design, verification, and integration under expert mentorship.

You will learn Collins' engineering processes, gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies, and understand how FPGAs and ASICs enable communications, security, and space-based products.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
• Experience using ASIC and/or FPGA design tools (Modelsim, Quartus, Vivado).
• Experience with debugging and root cause investigations on hardware using schematics and lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• You will support requirements capture and ASIC / FPGA digital architecture.
• You will implement ASIC / FPGA digital design using RTL.
• You will support verification and system integration of ASIC / FPGA implementations.
