Job summary

Fitfastener is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a minimum of 2 years in aerospace fastener manufacturing or precision machining to support production, tooling, process improvements, and quality initiatives for aerospace-grade screws and bolts.

You will document cold heading and hot forge processes, ensure first article inspection, troubleshoot on the shop floor, update drawings in Solidworks and Autocad, create work instructions, maintain ERP/MRP routers, and work with quality, production

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Document cold heading and hot forge processes.
  • Ensure products meet aerospace standards with first article inspection.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and quality issues on the shop floor.
  • Update process drawings with Solidworks and Autocad.
  • Create work instructions and production in-process standards.
  • Maintain and update production routers in ERP/MRP.
  • Assist tooling and fixture design and process validation.
  • Collaborate with quality, production, and supply chain teams to resolve issues.
  • Manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
