Job summary

VTR Inc. in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Complex Engine Assembly FAI Specialist on a 2-month contract, full-time with 1st and 2nd shifts.

You will support First Article Inspection (FAI) for complex engine assemblies, tracing requirements from drawings to manufacturing planning and ensuring accurate FAI documentation. This hands-on role requires understanding of how complex assemblies are built, ability to read multi-sheet drawings, BOMs, and specs, and strong Excel skills to maintain traceable

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing or Quality.
• Hands-on experience with complex mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to interpret multi-sheet drawings and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed print-to-plan reviews against drawings and BOMs.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, torque, lubrication, and measurements.
• Use DISCUS to balloon drawings and prepare data for FAI upload.
• Maintain Excel records linking requirements to planning and verification.
• Coordinate with customer planning and engineering for clarifications.
• Support assembly-floor FAI execution and traceability.
