Job summary

Applied Composites Inc is seeking an Estimator in Los Alamitos, CA to provide complete and accurate cost estimates for complex aerospace projects and to partner with internal departments to evaluate costs and profits.

The role requires a post-secondary degree in engineering or related field and 3-7 years of relevant estimating experience, with strong CAD skills and the ability to read aerospace drawings. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Management or equivalent combination of education/work experience
• 3-7 years of relevant experience
• Strong estimating experience and ability to perform complex analysis

Responsibilities

• Develops detailed project cost estimates including project complexity factors and key input data
• Translates project scope and engineering deliverables into the estimate of capital expenditure costs
• Creates and establishes cost-monitoring processes to track profit or loss for each project
• Manages reviews and audits of cost estimates and validates methodologies from design parameters
• Extrapolates cost curves based on experience with activities/cost correlation
• Ensures cost development policies comply with government laws and management objectives
• Other responsibilities as assigned
