Job summary

NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston is seeking an Epidemiologist to support occupational health, health physics, or compliance functions, promoting worker health through hazard anticipation, exposure assessment, risk analysis, and preventive controls.

You will drive efforts to understand how environmental, chemical, biological, and radiological factors affect health and help implement systems that minimize those risks for the workforce.

Qualifications

• One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to GS-09 level.
• Doctoral degree in an appropriate field.
• Three full academic years of graduate education toward a Ph.D.
• Equivalent combination of experience and graduate study.
• Experience designing or refining health risk analyses and standards.
• Serving as an epidemiology subject matter expert for risk management.

Responsibilities

• Support occupational health, health physics, or compliance functions.
• Hazard anticipation, exposure assessment, risk analysis, and preventive controls.
