Job summary

Encode, Inc., a fully owned subsidiary of LanceSoft, is seeking an Environmental Test technician for the L3Harris Environmental Test Laboratory. The role involves setting up and executing environmental tests on high-value defense hardware and learning to operate climate chambers and electrodynamic shakers.

Responsibilities include monitoring test events, troubleshooting anomalies, and documenting data while collaborating with engineers and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years aerospace experience, or 2 years post-secondary/associates with 0 to 2 years related experience.
• Experience in customer service or roles requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and execute environmental exposure tests on high-technology, high-value defense hardware.
• Continuously monitor active test events to verify compliance with parameters, safety requirements, and test limits.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and respond to test anomalies or out-of-limit conditions to stabilize ongoing test activities.
• Support failure reporting, anomaly documentation, and investigative activities by capturing test data, observations, and event details.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and test personnel to ensure accurate test execution and documentation.
