Kratos Defense and Security Solutions in Crane, IN seeks an Environments Lab Technician to perform hands-on testing of aerospace components under mission-specific environmental conditions. You will operate shock and vibration tables to simulate launch and handling environments, prepare test articles, fixturing, and instrumentation, and monitor data to ensure safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Technology, Electronics Technology, or related field.
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical, environmental, or vibration testing labs.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance (or active clearance).

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor shock and vibration test systems per test plans.
• Prepare test articles, fixturing, and instrumentation according to requirements.
• Perform bend-fixture testing to evaluate structural performance.
• Support spin-balancing operations and data monitoring.
• Document procedures, observations, and results clearly.
• Follow safety protocols and configuration control.
• Troubleshoot test setups with engineers.
• Maintain lab equipment and keep work area calibrated.
• Assist with test readiness reviews and post-test data reviews.
