Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks an Environmental Test Engineer for 100% onsite work with an aerospace organization in Western TX. You will plan, coordinate, and execute environmental test campaigns to validate satellite hardware for launch and LEO operations, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure mission readiness.

The role involves performing TVAC, vibration, and shock testing, analyzing results, and driving test improvements while ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on environmental testing experience in aerospace/space/high-reliability domains.
• Experience with TVAC chambers, vibration tables, shock systems and DAQ hardware/software.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, Dewesoft or similar testing platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental testing (TVAC, vibration, shock) on aerospace components and satellites.
• Coordinate test schedules, logistics, and execution with internal teams and external facilities.
• Set up and support test instrumentation (accelerometers, thermocouples, strain gauges, DAQ).
• Analyze test results, investigate anomalies, perform root cause analysis, and recommend design/manufacturing improvements.
• Operate, maintain, and improve environmental test equipment and documentation; ensure safety and quality compliance.
