Job summary

Acutronic is seeking an Engineering Technician to play a critical role in the Aerospace Components Division, leading prototyping, testing and documentation through the NPI process in Austin, TX. You will support assembly, test, troubleshooting and DFMA reviews, collaborating with engineering to implement improvements and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in electrical engineering technology or related field, 5+ years in electronics production,

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics production preferred.
• Five+ years of experience in electronics production (PCBA assembly and test).
• Familiarity with IPC standards; IPC certification preferred.
• Proficiency with electrical CAD tools (e.g., Altium) preferred.
• Experience integrating software with hardware and making minor software modifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, test, and troubleshooting throughout the NPI process.
• Assist documentation of assembly/test processes for production.
• Help document product configuration and production documentation.
• Lead troubleshooting related to product performance and quality.
• Collaborate to identify production/design improvements and DFMA alignment.
• Inspect products for IPC/industry standards compliance.
• Contribute to design verification testing and prototyping activities.
• Assist in training newer personnel.
