Re:Build Manufacturing seeks a hands-on Engineering Technician (Contract) to join our aerospace engineering team in Lakewood, CO. This 9‑month W‑2 position supports prototype development and production, bridging design and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn new technologies—from composites and fabrication to electrical integration and precision inspection.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training; 1+ year hands-on experience in manufacturing or aerospace.
• Strong understanding of mechanical assembly, electrical systems, and fabrication.
• Experience reading blueprints and CAD; GD&T familiarity preferred.
• Experience with aerospace materials and precision measurement tools.
• Ability to fix, modify, and improve processes with good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble aerospace components from solid models, drawings, and process specifications.
• Support composite fabrication, prepreg, layups, vacuum bagging, bonding, and curing processes.
• Drill, torque, and install fasteners, rivets, adhesives, and shims with precision.
• Fabricate tooling and molds using aluminum and composites.
• Assemble and wire subassemblies and electrical harnesses for integration and testing.
• Set up production work areas with required tooling and equipment.
• Operate shop equipment and metrology tools across projects.
• Participate in testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of components.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and safety.
• Mentor entry-level engineers on equipment operation and shop safety.
