Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Manager Engineering – Aerospace to lead aerospace projects in the Mid-Atlantic from Arlington, VA. You will direct multidisciplinary teams through the full project lifecycle, manage budgets, schedules, and client relations, and support marketing and design reviews.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 7+ years of related experience (2+ in PM), PE license, PMP, and strong MS Office/MS Project skills, with a focus on governance and QA/QC in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 7+ years related experience, including at least 2 years in project management.
• PE or P.Eng license recognized in the position's location.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management services focused on the Mid-Atlantic area’s growing aerospace market sector.
• Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary teams from development through close-out.
• Manage all aspects of complex small-to-medium projects or routine large projects.
• Produce and coordinate several small-to-medium projects concurrently.
• Establish and maintain client relations, and participate in marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings.
• Conduct work sessions for deliverable development with staff and stakeholders.
• Coordinate staffing and workload throughout the project lifecycle to ensure on-schedule delivery.
• Track financial aspects of projects and adjust work effort to stay within budget and schedule.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.
• Implement QA/QC procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed.
