Job summary

Stratolaunch is offering an Engineering Intern role based in Mojave, CA for 10-12 weeks during the summer. You will contribute to design, integration, and test of Stratolaunch operational vehicles across Flight Sciences, Flight Controls, Structures, Avionics, Electrical, Propulsion, Mechanical Systems, and Materials Science.

Openings are in multiple engineering areas; candidates are pursuing an engineering degree at the sophomore to graduate level and must demonstrate strong fundamentals,

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems, Software, CFD, Materials, or Networks.
• Demonstrated strong fundamentals in engineering disciplines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, analysis, and test of the Carrier Aircraft or Talon vehicles.
• Develop engineering tools as needed to complete tasks.
• Use engineering fundamentals or analysis software to analyze designs.
• Interface with manufacturing to build or test components.
• Interface within and between engineering teams to clarify requirements, communicate progress, and resolve issues.
• Write and execute test plans as needed.
• Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity, and fulfillment of commitments.
