CHI invites applications for an Engineering Co-op (College Student) in Covina, CA, for a 12-month program to evaluate talent and provide meaningful aerospace composite manufacturing experience. Qualifications

• 6 months over 12 months time or part-time, 20+ hrs/week (800 hours per year)
• Enrolled in accredited residential college (not online)
• Proof of U.S. Persons Required
• Hazardous waste training required

Responsibilities

• Assist project engineers with data collection and analysis under PE direction.
• Assist with tasks from manager on CHI's data collection system.
• Learn basic material and processing of aerospace composite parts.
• Understand master work instructions and work with operators to learn layup, bagging, curing, machining and assembly operations.
• Review customer documents and specifications to learn aerospace requirements.
• Discuss process improvements with project engineers using CHI experiences.
• Learn DOEs, monitoring trials and data assessment.
• Assist in writing SOPs and other engineering documents.
