Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a government contractor in Patuxent Highland, MD, seeks an aerospace engineer to support flight control system development and flight dynamics modeling.

Responsibilities include design, integration, testing of flight control systems and autopilots, plus validating models and supporting ground and flight tests.

Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance after hiring. U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering.
  • 1-2 years' professional experience related to Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience with MATLAB and MATLAB scripting.
  • Excellent documentation and report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of sound engineering practices that may include such areas as requirement tracking, configuration control, technical communication, and/or the peer review process.
