Qualifications

Responsibilities

One of our top Aerospace clients is looking for an Electrical Integration Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of electrical and avionics systems for prototype aircraft in Mojave, CA! We are also hiring for a Flight Test Engineer, Electrical Integration Engineer, and Composite Design Engineer, so all Aerospace Engineers are welcome to apply for consider of any of these roles.

This role specifically is a hands‑on engineering role for someone who enjoys owning systems from concept through flight testing and working across electrical, avionics, embedded hardware/software, and aircraft integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test electrical, avionics, and embedded hardware/software systems for prototype aircraft.
• Define system requirements, architectures, interfaces, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Evaluate and integrate COTS electrical and avionics components.
• Support ground and flight testing, troubleshooting, and system validation.

Required Experience

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems from power distribution through signal-level electronics.
• Experience with software and/or electronic hardware development.

• BS in Engineering or substantial equivalent experience.
• Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines in a fast‑paced development environment.

Plusses

• 2-5 years of aerospace, defense, aviation, or related engineering experience.
• Aircraft electrical/avionics integration and troubleshooting.
• PCB design, embedded systems, microcontrollers, or FPGA development.
• C, C++, Python, MATLAB, and/or Simulink.
• Data acquisition, instrumentation, RF, telemetry, or EMI/EMC experience.
• Garmin avionics and/or ACRA systems.
• Familiarity with FAR Part 23/25, ASTM F3231, or FAA AC 43.13-1B.
• Hands‑on rapid prototyping, fabrication, assembly, and flight-test experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
