Job summary

DP Professionals (DPP) seeks an Aerospace Engineer with a strong background in aircraft mass properties, weight & balance to support large aircraft modification programs and advanced aerospace projects. Lead weight control plans, develop and maintain mass properties databases, track aircraft weight, center of gravity, and weight growth, and produce weight & balance reports from CAD data.

You'll collaborate with design, manufacturing, customers and suppliers to ensure safe, compliant weight

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Deep knowledge of SAWE RP-7 and RP-8.
• Aircraft weighing and weight & balance experience.
• Experience with parametric weight estimation.
• Experience creating mass properties estimates from CAD data.
• Experience supporting conceptual design and parametric modeling.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Required Experience

• Typically 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices

• Aircraft weighing and weight & balance experience
• Experience with parametric weight estimation
• Experience creating mass properties estimates from CAD data
• Experience supporting conceptual design and parametric modeling
• Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering teams

Preferred

• Recent AWBS training
• Recent Aircraft Weight & Balance Course training
• SolidWorks and/or Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE
• Model-Based Definition (MBD)
• Fundamentals of flight mechanics
• US Department of Defense or military program experience
