Job summary

RTX Pratt & Whitney is seeking an experienced aerospace mechanic for an onsite role in Middletown, CT. You will follow assembly drawings and specs to prepare parts, build subassemblies and support engine tests.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with an A&P license (or equivalent) and 5+ years heavy automotive experience; avionics experience is preferred. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and more.

Qualifications

• A&P license or equivalent with 5+ years of heavy automotive experience.
• Aerospace mechanic experience is preferred.
• Avionics mechanic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow assembly drawings and specifications to prepare parts and build subassemblies, modules and accessories for new gas turbine engines.
• Perform mechanical overhaul and repair to overhaul engines, modules and related components.
• Obtain parts, check details for conformance to assembly requirements and measure components to verify tolerances.
• Use hand tools, fixtures and special equipment to assemble engine sections and maintain tooling.
• Provide support for test operations and assist with testing under supervision.
• Assist with co-producer, customer support or retrofit projects and changes in specifications.
