Job summary

Platform Aerospace is hiring an Embedded Network Engineer in Hollywood, MD. The role focuses on developing and testing network configurations for aircraft systems to ensure optimal performance, security and integration with operational platforms.

The position may be filled at level I or II based on qualifications, with a focus on validating system behavior and documenting results while collaborating across teams to meet end-user requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2–5 years of related experience or Master's with 2 years of related experience.
• Security clearance or ability to obtain clearance.
• Experience supporting hardware development using antenna, RF, digital and microelectronic tech.
• Experience coding/scripting: C++, C, Python, Arduino, MATLAB.
• Experience with sensor payloads.
• Experience in aerospace development, production or operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop network configurations for aircraft systems.
• Test network configurations for aircraft systems.
• Develop sub-programs and driver code in C++, C, and other high-level languages.
• Test and document system behavior, performance and security.
• Test and develop new networking configurations for UAVs.
• Monitor and analyze network usage and capacity for UAV systems.
• Collaborate with management, departments and customers to identify requirements.
• Design, write and update network diagrams and system documentation.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot network architecture.
