Job summary

Safe Flight Instrument in White Plains, NY is seeking a Mechanical/Electro-Assembler to build and wire aerospace components on site. You will follow procedures and drawings, assemble PCBs, harnesses, and wiring, and demonstrate precise soldering and quality workmanship.

The role requires experience with soldering, wire harnessing, and PCB assembly, with attention to detail and ability to read engineering drawings. Competitive hourly pay and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electronic and electro-mechanical assembly.
• Experience soldering, wire harnessing, wire stripping and crimping.
• PCB assembly and following engineering drawings precisely.

Responsibilities

• Establish a working partnership with suppliers and internal teams.
• Perform assembly tasks per procedures and drawings using small hand tools.
• Create wire harnesses routing wires and connectors per wiring diagrams.
• Strip wire insulation to specified lengths with precision.
• Use crimping tools to secure connectors and contacts on wires.
• Assemble electronic components onto PCBs using standard techniques.
• Solder components onto PCBs and wires meeting quality specs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
