Job summary

PacSci EMC in Solon, OH is hiring an Electronic Assembler to perform complex assembly of electronic components for aerospace/defense systems. You will hand-load and solder PCB assemblies, interpret engineering drawings, and follow IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 standards.

You’ll work under a microscope to identify soldering anomalies, collaborate with engineering teams, and participate in offsite training to maintain certifications. A strong mechanical aptitude and self-driven attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• U.S. citizenship (required due to national security contracts).
• 3–5 years of J-STD soldering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Certification to IPC-J-STD and IPC-D-610 standards (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assembly operations on electronic components and subassemblies for aerospace and defense systems.
• Follow detailed visual aids, engineering drawings, and written instructions to assemble or modify units.
• Hand-load and solder PCB assemblies, including fine-pitch components, per IPC standards.
• Identify and repair soldering anomalies, using lead and lead-free solder under a microscope.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement.
