Job summary

Rocketdyne, located in Mason, OH, is seeking an Electrical Test Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, test, and support automated test sets for deliverable electronic hardware used in space launch programs.

The role emphasizes test software development, hardware integration, verification/validation, and collaboration with design and systems engineering to meet program requirements. A security clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Requires B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering with minimum of 4 years’ experience or a M.S. with 2 years’ experience; alternative if no degree. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• 2+ years experience developing electronics and/or electronic test solutions.
• 2+ years experience in electronic test system design, development and troubleshooting.
• 1+ years work experience using LabVIEW, TestStand, and/or other software languages.
• Active Clearance or ability to obtain a clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Design electronic test interfaces and select equipment to test deliverable electronic hardware.
• Develop test software to interface with test equipment and automate testing of the unit under test.
• Integrate hardware design with software to create a functional test set.
• Perform test set verification and validation to ensure it meets requirements.
• Develop test system requirements, methods, and solutions aligned to program objectives.
• Develop and execute test plans and readiness reviews.
• Interface with design and system engineering to define test strategies.
• Present at engineering reviews to improve quality and prevent defects early in development.
• Communicate effectively through technical reviews and program status updates.
