Job summary

Beaver Aerospace & Defense, a division of Héroux-Devtek Inc., is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our Livonia, Michigan assembly team. You will perform electrical assembly, wiring, testing and troubleshooting on our products, reading detailed drawings and schematics to keep production moving without delays.

You will use a multimeter and test equipment, inspect work to spec, and document results for Quality and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Reading electrical drawings, schematics and job requirements to guide assembly work.
• Perform electrical assembly, wiring and installation to specifications and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and document results to be reviewed by Engineering/Quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical assembly, wiring, and installation work in accordance with drawings, schematics, and job specifications (approx. 40% of time)
• Conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting on in-process and completed assemblies (approx. 20% of time)
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and job requirements to guide assembly work (approx. 15% of time)
• Inspect and verify completed electrical work against quality and specification requirements (approx. 10% of time)
• Perform rework, repairs, and resolve production electrical issues as they arise (approx. 10% of time)
• Maintain accurate documentation, housekeeping, and clear communication with Assembly, Engineering, and Quality to support production flow (approx. 5% of time)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Hands-on electrical wiring and assembly experience
• Proficiency using electrical hand tools and test equipment, including a multimeter
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform precise work to documented requirements and tolerances
• Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical and wiring problems independently
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment where priorities can shift based on business needs
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn company production documentation systems
• Willingness to complete required annual training, including AS9100 quality system requirements and ITAR/Export Compliance
• Aerospace and defense manufacturing experience is a plus
• Electro-mechanical assembly experience is a plus
• Soldering and/or crimping experience, along with related certifications (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC J-STD-001), is a plus
• Experience working within AS9100 or another regulated quality environment is a plus
• Previous electrical testing and troubleshooting experience is a plus
