Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer in Baton Rouge to manage multi-part systems, including board-level interfaces, harness design, and specification writing. The role involves developing cooling systems for aircraft and ensuring interconnection between valves, controllers, sensors, and data acquisition systems.

The engineer will collaborate with project managers to document requirements, develop test plans, and facilitate a smooth transition to manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Hardware design experience.
• Electrical engineering background.
• Systems engineering experience including spec writing and requirements gathering.
• PCB design experience.
• Experience in aerospace projects preferred.
• Proficiency in Altium.
• Knowledge in both analog and digital electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-part systems including board-level interfaces and harness design.
• Write specifications for boards and ensure proper testing according to specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers to document requirements and develop test plans.
• Ensure effective interconnection and communication between components like valves, controllers, and sensors.
• Oversee and manage electrical assemblies and coordinate with cross-disciplinary groups.
• Write specifications and conduct analysis at the system level.
