Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer for a confidential aerospace/defense client on Long Island, NY. You will design, develop, test, and transition PCBAs and electronic subsystems through production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet stringent reliability requirements.

The role requires 3–7 years of hands-on electrical design, experience with PCB layouts, schematics, and DFx practices, and the ability to obtain or possess U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3–7 years of hands-on electrical design and product development experience.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout software.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot electronic hardware and perform laboratory testing.
• Understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, manufacturing documentation, and configuration control processes.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits and subsystems.
• Create electrical schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and engineering docs.
• Develop prototypes and perform hardware integration, debugging, and validation testing.
• Support PCB fabrication, assembly, and transition into manufacturing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and systems engineering teams.
• Conduct DFM and DFT reviews to improve quality and cost efficiency.
• Support environmental, functional, qualification, and reliability testing.
• Analyze test data, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in engineering change management and lifecycle support.
