Job summary

Safran Seats in Gainesville, Texas, seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to read wiring schematics and block diagrams, apply AC/DC theory, and troubleshoot electrical systems. You’ll collaborate with customers and internal teams while updating specifications with guidance from senior engineers.

The role requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field (or 12 years of equivalent experience) and CAD proficiency (Pro-E, Catia V5).

Qualifications

• Must have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field, or 12 years equivalent experience.
• One year of related experience is preferred.
• Proficient with CAD systems (Pro-E, Catia V5) and data management.
• Knowledge of electrical installation and system integration; able to derive customer requirements.
• Ability to generate lay-outs and program design studies; strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Read wiring schematics and system block diagrams.
• Support basic AC/DC theory and electrical installation concepts.
• Communicate effectively with multiple organizations including customers.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and troubleshoot issues independently.
• Check engineering packages and revise specifications under senior guidance.
• Ensure completion of project phases within budget and schedule.
