Job summary

The Structures Company is seeking an EE Technical Designer 3 in Oklahoma City, OK. This contract role focuses on developing and releasing electrical and mechanical drawings, system designs, and related engineering documentation for a top-tier client in aerospace/defense.

You will work with power measurement instrumentation, read engineering drawings, and collaborate with internal partners to ensure design integrity and compliance. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; 2nd shift possible.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with designing the fabrication of wire harnesses and cables.
• 3+ years of experience using power measurement test and measurement instrumentation.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• 3+ years of experience with electrical troubleshooting utilizing volt ohm meters and electrical system drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and releases electrical and mechanical drawings, systems designs, and engineering documentation.
• Prepares documentation and incorporates design changes using design tools.
• Creates, develops, and maintains systems designs by preparing design layouts and identifying discrepancies.
• Supports engineering system design and functionality validation activities.
• Develops and maintains product installation designs and part designs from simple to moderately complex.
• Plans, conducts, and documents tests on products, systems, components, and manufacturing processes.
• Designs wire harnesses and cables, fabricates, installs, routes, terminates, solders, and repairs wiring harnesses and components.
• Uses power measurement test and measurement instrumentation.
• Performs electrical troubleshooting using volt ohm meters and electrical system drawings.
• Coordinates activities with internal partners and external suppliers.
