Job summary

NORDAM seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to apply extensive engineering knowledge to the design, development, testing, manufacturing, repair and certification of aircraft electrical systems in compliance with FAA guidelines.

You will analyze proposals, develop repair schemes, create CAD data and engineering reports, and coordinate with DERs, customers and internal teams to deliver robust, cost-effective solutions for multiple aircraft programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
• 6 year(s) related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Develops solutions to complex engineering or technical problems with independent judgment within FAA guidelines.
• Analyzes proposals and documentation to develop design and repair schemes for aircraft structures and electrical systems.
• Designs and repairs structural and power plant components; produces CAD data and engineering reports.
• Develops data packages and obtains FAA approvals through DERs; communicates with customer engineering groups.
• Tests models and prototypes; analyzes stress and performance under simulated conditions.
• Performs other duties as required.
