Job summary

L3Harris Rochester seeks an Experienced Electrical Technician to assemble and integrate complex space flight components. You will work with engineers to optimize designs for manufacturability, performing cable/harness builds and soldering under a microscope.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience, or an Associates degree with 0–2 years. IPC/JSTD/NASA certifications and eligibility for US government clearance are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-secondary/Associates with 0–2 years related experience.
• Certification to IPC, JSTD, or NASA standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read engineering drawings/blueprints/schematics and detailed work instructions.
• Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
• Speak clearly and concisely, presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups.
• Identify problems and suggest solutions.
• Demonstrate appropriate computer knowledge.
• Understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices.
• Perform as an individual contributor as well as within a team environment.
• Must be mechanically inclined with ability to work with very fragile electronic assemblies under a microscope.
• Willingness to work overtime, shift work, weekends, holidays and some travel.
• Ability to obtain US Government security clearance.
