Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years building cables, wire harnesses, or avionics electrical assemblies in a production shop.
• Experience with crimp and solder harness work.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and BOMs.
• Familiarity with IPC/J-STD/SAE/ MIL specs in defense/aerospace harness work.
• Proficient in using basic electronic test equipment (multimeters, insulation testers).
• Strong attention to detail and consistent workmanship.
• Ability to work with teammates and maintain accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build cables, wire harnesses, and related electrical assemblies from orders, drawings, changes, customer specs, and process instructions.
• Read drawings, specifications, part numbers, markings, and workmanship requirements.
• Identify correct wires, connectors, and hardware from the BOM by part number, quantity, and revision.
• Cut, strip, route, crimp, solder, terminate, and label wiring.
• Install heat shrink, boots, backshells, and other protective hardware.
• Use shop tools such as strippers, crimpers, soldering irons, hand tools, and torque tools.
• Test completed assemblies for continuity, shorts, and grounds.
• Integrate finished harnesses into assemblies, enclosures, or racks as required.
• Complete travelers and shop records.
• Follow AS9100, ESD, FOD, tool-control, and shop safety practices.
• Flag drawing, parts, or workmanship issues to leads and management.
